All India United Democratic Front
Founded on 2 October 2005 as the Assam United Democratic Front (AUDF) by perfume-business magnate and Islamic scholar Badruddin Ajmal, primarily to represent the interests of Assam's Bengali-origin Muslim minority and other marginalised communities, the party relaunched under its current name, the All India United Democratic Front, on 2 February 2009 as it sought a wider national presence. It has historically been strongest in the Muslim-majority Lower Assam and Barak Valley regions, holding the Dhubri Lok Sabha seat continuously from 2009 until losing it in 2024.
